New little docks were put in the water at the pit here in Sibley, Iowa, so Dave and I took our stormlaunchers out an flew around a bit. Only one stormlauncher was injured in the making of this video, but it did survive to fly another day. This video did not turn out like I had planned. Very poor quality...so it will be removed and reposted at a later date when I have more time. Thanks for watching.......

May 21, 2008 - Thanks Greg. I don't think there is such thing as too much fun, but if there is, we were having it. LOL.

May 23, 2008 - Ha ha ha. I feel like I just got out of the twilight zone after watching this. That was great fun Jeff. Lets do it again soon.

May 23, 2008 - Most definitely!

May 24, 2008 - Great flying guys. Dave, did your little mishap manage to affect any of the electronics in your stormlauncher?

NightFlyyer Says:

May 26, 2008 - Not as far as I know. If it was salt water they would have been dead a long time ago. It just needed a little drying out and all is well again.

ssrc30 Says:

May 26, 2008 - Thats a good thing then lol.... I wrecked my stormlauncher in a similar fashion this past winter and my luck wasn't as good as yours lol. Not a really cheap thing to replace either at 150 bucks a pop lol........

NightFlyyer Says:

May 26, 2008 - $150???? I paid $69 afor my very first one a long time ago when they first came out and $15 for the other 4 when they were on sale at Walmart, minus batteries. Hope you found a cheaper one.

ssrc30 Says:

May 26, 2008 - Ya they have gone down in price quite a bit. Anything here that is RC is usually quite expensive, especially at the hobby shop, but it's starting to get a little better. I think they are now going for 80 bucks at Wal-Mart here.

May 27, 2008 - Nice Flying. I wouldn't of had enough guts to fly over water. Lol. I Barely could manage to get like closer then 10 feet to the ground when doing an inverted hover :S. You are Brave!

Winston51249 Says:

May 27, 2008 - Thank you. We've always reserved our stormlaunchers for winter flying the last couple of winters, but they've proven to be a lot of fun to fly off of water also. I think our Stormlaunchers may see a little more flight time this summer as well.
